Publication Ethics

Bhinneka Journal of Multidisciplinary Knowledge (BjMK) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against any form of publication malpractice. This statement is based on the principles of transparency, integrity, and accountability in scholarly publishing, in line with best practices established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Ethical Responsibilities of Authors

Authors are required to submit original work that has not been previously published and is not under consideration elsewhere. All data presented in the manuscript must be accurate and free from fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate data manipulation. Authors must properly acknowledge the work of others through appropriate citation and referencing.

Plagiarism in any form is strictly prohibited. The journal employs plagiarism detection tools to ensure the originality of submissions. Authors must also ensure that all listed authors have made significant contributions to the research and have approved the final version of the manuscript.

If the research involves human participants or animals, authors must ensure that the study has received appropriate ethical approval and complies with relevant ethical standards. Any potential conflicts of interest must be clearly disclosed.

Ethical Responsibilities of Editors

Editors are responsible for making publication decisions based on the manuscript’s academic merit, originality, and relevance to the journal’s scope. Editors must evaluate manuscripts fairly and without discrimination based on the authors’ race, gender, institutional affiliation, or nationality.

Editors must maintain confidentiality regarding submitted manuscripts and must not use unpublished materials for personal research without the authors’ consent. Any conflicts of interest must be disclosed, and appropriate measures must be taken to avoid bias in the editorial process.

Ethical Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers play a crucial role in maintaining the quality of the journal. They are expected to provide objective, constructive, and timely evaluations of manuscripts. Reviewers must treat all manuscripts as confidential documents and must not share or use the information for personal advantage.

Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors and report any potential ethical concerns, including plagiarism or duplicate publication. If a reviewer has a conflict of interest, they must decline the review.

Publication Misconduct

BHMK takes all allegations of misconduct seriously. In cases of suspected ethical violations such as plagiarism, data fabrication, duplicate publication, or authorship disputes, the journal will follow appropriate procedures to investigate the issue. Actions may include manuscript rejection, retraction of published articles, and notification to the authors’ institutions.

Corrections and Retractions

If significant errors or ethical issues are identified in a published article, the journal will take appropriate steps to correct or retract the article. Corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern will be clearly indicated to maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.
